The Auckland campus is located on Auckland's North Shore. There are three areas:
Massey University offers free car parking for both staff and students on campus. Parking areas are marked on the Auckland Campus maps. Parking policy and management is administered by
This is available to students in the designated general car park spaces only. These spaces are identified by white painted lines. Parking is not permitted in reserved spaces, which are identified by yellow painted lines and by appropriate signs. In Oteha Rohe there is a separate car park for motorbikes on Eastbourne Road. For more information about student parking policy and operations, contact Campus Operations.
A new, temporary car park off Albany Highway, opposite Albany Senior High School, is now available at the Auckland campus to ease the pressure created by the removal of car parks for new buildings and growth in student numbers.
It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to either the East Precinct or Oteha Rohe via the campus walkway. Because of lighting, during winter months the car park will only be available from 8am to 6pm.
The campus shuttle bus that runs between Oteha Rohe, the East Precinct and Albany Village throughout the day will now include the new temporary carpark in its route. The service runs between 7.35am (departing East Precinct) and 6.10pm (departing Oteha Rohe) with one or two circuits every hour. Details are on the Massey University app and displayed at the bus stops.
Additional parking is available in general parking areas at Gate 4, Albany Highway on the Oteha Rohe campus. This does not include numbered and allocated staff spaces, which are strictly enforced.
Car-pool parking has been relocated to the crescent opposite the Recreation Centre (car park 1D), which is for permit holders only between 8am and 4pm. Two permits per vehicle must be displayed. Contact the students’ association for more details regarding this scheme.
Any driver with a valid mobility card may use a disabled space. For more information contact Auckland Campus Operations Service Desk, phone 09 213 6434.
Two new mobility spaces have been established in car park 1D opposite the Recreation Centre. These are the best located spaces available until the Sir Neil Waters extension is completed later this year, with additional parking and mobility spaces provided behind this building. There are also mobility spaces after the barrier arm for other campus buildings.
Five short-stay spaces are provided on the left hand side of the car-pooling area in car park 1D. Parking in these spaces is restricted to 30 minutes or less to facilitate short visits to the campus and to provide a waiting area when picking up passengers.
Spaces are provided in the left hand exit lane leading towards Albany Expressway to facilitate the quick drop-off and pick-up of passengers.
Overflow paid parking is also available at QBE Stadium, car park H, entry from Coliseum Drive. Charges are $1 per hour, capped at $5 per day. Bus services are available to the Albany bus stop and Constellation stop for connecting services. Use Auckland Transport’s Journey Planner for more detail.
